Karim Habib, the designer for the latest BMW 7-series, moves to Mercedes-Benz

Karim Habib, the designer for the latest BMW 7-Series, has been brought into the ranks of Mercedes-Benz where he will become the head of the car manufacturer's advanced design studio in Stuttgart. He will be working under Gorden Wagener, the new design boss of Mercedes-Benz. Habib, who was born in Canada, will be accountable for teh F-series models, the concept and experimental cars of which Mercedes-Benz utilizes to design its future styling themes. The latest F series cars include both the F400 and the F700. These vehicles will influence the generation of cars after the next, so they will not be available in another ten years. The inclusion of Habib is part of Mercedes-Benz's program of putting yonger designers within its ranks beginning with the retirement last year of Peter Pfeiffer, the carmaker's design boss.
