Kia Borrego may return in the United States for the 2011 model year

For about a year, the Kia Borrego was not available in the US market but there are reports coming out now that it will return for the 2011 model year. The Borrego was introduced in late 2008 but it failed to hit initial sales targets. A 2010 Borrego was never marketed and by all accounts, it looked like the Borrego has vanished. But then, Fueleconomy.gov indicates that there are plans for a 2011 model. A Kia spokesperson declined to provide details, but said that the model is still in the planning stages. The SUV is expected to keep the same content levels and powertrain offerings (a 3.8-liter V-6 and a 4.6-liter V-8) if it comes back for the 2011 model year. [via automobilemag]
