In response to customers’ demands, Kia has made the decision to build 2013 Rio SX hatchback models with a limited production run. Best of all, it features six-speed manual transmissions for the first time ever. Previously, Kia has only had a manual transmission available in its base LX model. However, it is now thinking about offering other high-spec models that have manual transmission options. The 2013 Kia Rio SX manual hatchback offers the following as standard equipment: push-button start, touchscreen navigation, rear-backup camera, a set of 17-inch wheels, sport suspension, LED daytime running lights, satellite radio, and black cloth interior. The LX model is very basic and is equipped with smaller 16-inch wheels, four-speaker stereo and doesn’t have items like cruise control, power windows and door locks, and a telescopic steering wheel. Kia would only be building fewer than 500 manual-equipped SX models so if you want one, buy it quickly. It has a starting MSRP of $18,650, which includes a $750 destination charge. For this price, the buyer gets a vehicle powered by a 1.6-liter, four-cylinder with 138-hp that could return 30-mpg in the city and 40-mpg on the highway.
