Kia Track’ster Concept breaks cover at the 2012 Chicago Auto Show

Kia Track’ster Concept
The Kia Track’ster Concept was revealed today at the 2012 Chicago Auto Show showing a new interpretation of the Soul. As you can see from the photos, the car features a lower intake grille, new LED driving lights with billet aluminium surrounds and new headlights with LED technology. The car also comes in a white and orange paint scheme. Moreover, the lower valance, trimmed in carbon fibre and accented with Inferno Orange, rides just inches off the ground. The design of the car is completed by the custom HRE-K1 monoblock billet performance wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 high-performance tyres.
Behind these wheels we find 14-inch Brembo vented and cross-drilled disc brakes embraced by six-piston callipers up front and 13.6-inch discs apaired with four-piston calipers at the rear. The wheelbase on the concept is stretched to 101.2-inches, almost an inch longer than the production Soul. The Kia Track’ster Concept is powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged in-line-four engine delivering 250 hp.
As expected, the power is routed to all four wheels via an electronically controlled four-wheel-drive system. The engine is mated to a six-speed manual transmission. The Track’ster rides on a lowered sport suspension tuned for track performance. The interior features deeply bolstered Inferno Orange suede-covered racing seats, Granite Grey leather-wrapped steering wheel and door panels, new auxiliary vehicle information such as oil temperature and battery voltage. Behind the front seats we find a fully integrated equipment tray and spare-tyre well.
