This is Kia's first all-electric plug-in car, the Venga EV, which was unveiled at the Geneva motor show. The car is equipped with an 80kW electric motor (the equivalent of 107bhp), which delivers 206lb ft of torque. With this much power, the car can go from zero to 62mph in 11.8 sec and hit a top speed of 87mph. The Venga EV's lithium ion polymer battery packs provide a range of 112 miles. With a quick-charge, 80% of the battery pack can be charged in 20 minutes. However, a full charge takes eight hours. The electric motor powers the front wheels and is in the engine bay, while the battery pack is located under the boot floor. In addition, Kia launched a new Cee'd 1.6 diesel EcoDynamics model, which boasts of emitting only 98g/km CO2. For fuel economy, the car got several modifications, including a lowered suspension, low-resistance tires and a new rear spoiler.
