KTM X-Bow receives Top Gear’s “Sports Car of the Year” award
One of the newest automakers in Europe, KTM, commemorated three awards at last night’s TopGear.com 2008 awards. The attractive ‘Ready to Race’ KTM X-Bow is Top Gear’s ‘Sports Car of the Year’, while Stefan Pierer, KTM’s CEO, and Loris Bicocchi, X-Bow Chief Chassis Engineer, are both lauded as ‘Men of the Year’ by Top Gear.
The KTM X-Bow, which is produced in Austria, is a modest two-seater mid-engined sports vehicle, featuring a high-tech carbon fiber monocoque - that generates a driving experience that is both unadulterated and exciting. Its 2-liter TFSI Audi powerhouse produces 240 ps (177 kW) and hurls the X-Bow to 62 mph in 3.9 seconds from standstill. Photos after the jump!
