2008 SEMA Show: Lexus IS250/350 with F-Sport Accessories

Article by Christian Andrei, on August 27, 2008

The IS 250/350 is the doorway of Lexus into the luxury sport sedan category. It's a tuner-friendly and tough platform that responds exceptionally well to performance improvements.

This vehicle is completely loaded with all the accessories from the F-Sport performance accessory catalog. It also sports a fresh concept ground-effects body parts designed to complement the heightened performance and hard line stance offered by the F-Sport parts.

To the extent that Lexus wants to make the IS 350 a serious sports sedan, it has always been hindered by a comfortable ride, fade-prone brakes and at-the-limit understeer.

Fortunately, Lexus' line of F-Sport accessories has the potential to address many of those shortcomings. Specially interesting is how the Bilsteins, springs and beefier sway bars buttress the chassis, all of which - along with the Advans - should eliminate the IS 350's terminal plowing.

While we're big fans of in-house-enhanced performance components, mainly since they can be rolled into the monthly payments, we're curious how much all these parts would add to the MSRP... and how close the price tag would be to an IS F.
