Introducing the 2012 Buick Regal GS! This is the production version of the acclaimed Regal GS Concept launched in January at the 2010 Detroit Auto Show.
The 2012 Regal GS has a powerful 2.0-liter turbocharged engine that delivers 255 horsepower (190 kW) and 295 lb-ft. of torque (400 Nm), paired to a six-speed manual transmission.
This car also has an optional six-speed automatic with Driver Shift Control. Certain standard features of the 2010 Regal GS are standard XM Satellite Radio with three-month trial service, passive keyless entry with push-button start, Bluetooth phone connectivity, Harman/Kardon premium 320-watt sound system with nine speakers, front and rear ultrasonic parking assist, and Bi-xenon HID headlamps.
The interiors boast of a new flat-bottom sport steering wheel. It also has a new set of metal sport pedals and new leather-appointed 12-way power adjustable sport driver and front passenger heated seats.
The Buick’s interior also is accentuated by the satin-finish elements on the instrument pane, console and steering wheel, while the instrument panel glow white when the driver activates the GS mode of the Interactive Drive Control System (IDCS).
As shown in the photos, the 2012 Regal GS has new front and rear fascias, with the front fascias featuring vertical air intake slots and a specific grille treatment.
The car’s rear has integrated satin-metallic trapezoidal exhaust outlets. The exterior design boasts of a new set of 19-inch, 5-Twin Spoke alloy wheels. Buick also has an optional set of 20-inch, 5-Twin Spoke polished alloy wheels wrapped in high-performance tires.
