Smart joined forces with fashion designer Jeremy Scott and created a special Smart ForTwo Electric Drive that looks like a batmobile but finished in a white color. For those who don’t know, the Smart ForJeremy has the wings not to save you from the bad people as Batman used to do, but because these are a familiar trademark of the American star designer.
The wings light up like igniting rockets to form avant-garde rear lights. The big surprise is that this new vehicle will actually enter production next year in as a limited special edition. It took eight months for Jeremy Scott to develop the Smart ForJeremy together with designers of the “smart Design Division” at the Mercedes-Benz Cars Advanced Design Studios in Carlsbad, California.
Moreover, the car is painted in bright white, while the wings are made of transparent fiberglass and decorated with rocket-shaped elements that light up red, serving as rear and brake lights. The new Smart ForJeremy also features wider rear tires and wider rear wheel arches, while the rims are shaped like aeroplane propellers. Furthermore, we find a new set of curved “eyebrows” above its front headlights.
Inside, the Smart ForJeremy offers white nappa leather for the instrument panel, seats and door trim. Shaped like a jet engine, the bright chromium plated side air inlets complete the wing theme on the exterior. The small car is powered by a 55 kW electric motor that is capable to push it from 0 to 60 km/h in 4.8 seconds. The 17.6 kWh lithium-ion battery enables the urban two-seater to travel approximately 145 kilometres.
