Jeep will be unveiling two special-edition models at the 2015 Los Angeles Auto Show -- the 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT Night and the 2016 Jeep Wrangler Backcountry.

First off, the 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT Night is basically a performance-driven Jeep Grand Cherokee cloaked in a premium night-like appearance with the addition of Gloss Black roof, front grille bezels, B and C pillars, rear spoiler and side window surrounds.

Moreover, Satin Black applique is used on the vehicle’s front, badging on the hood, and rear liftgate. Also wrapped in Satin Black are the new lightweight split five-spoke “5Ten” 20-inch wheels, which are intricately designed to show off the Grand Cherokee SRT8’s Brembo brakes.

Inside, the 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT Night features Black Laguna leather with Silver accent stitching as well as Light Black Chrome bezels. Customers may opt for available colors for their Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT Night like Velvet Red, Billet Silver and Granite Crystal.

Customers could also avail of optional features like a 19-speaker 825-watt Harman Kardon stereo system, a dual-screen rear entertainment system, a trailer tow package, a dual-pane sunroof, three-season tires and a full-size spare tire.

Powering the 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT Night is a 6.4-liter V-8 engine providing 475 hp of output and 470 lb.-ft. of torque, allowing the vehicle to zoom from zero to 60 mph acceleration in just 4.8 seconds and to achieve a top speed of 160 mph, as well as go from 0-100-0 mph in just 16.3 seconds. This engine also enables the 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT Night to reach a quarter mile in the mid 13-second range.

Likewise, the 6.4-liter V-8 engine features Fuel Saver Technology and is complemented by an adaptive damping suspension and a Selec-Track Traction Control system. On the other hand, the 2016 Jeep Wrangler Backcountry is a winter-themed off-road Jeep derived from the Wrangler Sahara and is geared up to take its passengers wherever they want.

It is available in Hydro Blue, Black, Bright White, Granite Crystal and Xtreme Purple.

Featuring a Backcountry decal on the front fender and rear quarter panel, the 2016 Jeep Wrangler Backcountry boasts of a distinct off-road front and rear powder coated bumper, a black fuel fill door and Mid-gloss Black 17-inch Rubicon wheels.

It comes, as standard, with Wrangler Rubicon rock rails, although customers could opt for the Sahara side steps at no extra cost. Likewise, the 2016 Jeep Wrangler Backcountry comes with a black hard top as standard, while customers could opt for an available body color hard top.

Interestingly, the interior of the Wrangler Backcountry houses Piano Black vent rings, grab handles and door handles. The 2016 Jeep Wrangler Backcountry comes featured with a vinyl-wrapped console lid and door armrests with Diesel Gray accent stitching.

Also featured are black McKinley leather seat bolsters with black sport mesh insert, and all-weather slush mats. This off-roader is also blessed with a nine-speaker premium Alpine sound system and the Bluetooth hands-free Connectivity Group.

Mike Manley, Head of Jeep Brand at FCA Global, remarked that the Grand Cherokee SRT Night and Wrangler Backcountry special-edition models both offer unique looks, outstanding performance and capability. Jeep will commence sales of the 2016 Jeep Wrangler Backcountry at dealerships and the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT Night in late November 2015 and in the first quarter of 2016, respectively.
