2015 LA Auto Show: Nissan JUKE Stinger Edition by Color Studio

A bold compact crossover, the NISSAN JUKE gives a true sporty look that is a class apart from same segment lookalikes. Its exclusive designing of the interiors and exteriors is highly sought after. Nissan has come up with ‘Color Studio’ as a new 2015 feature.

This program gives the Nissan owners freedom to choose through thousands of special color accessories like door handles, spoiler, wheels, mirrors and interiors. The Color Studio has become so popular that the program has been getting bigger and now includes the trendy Versa Note.

Thankfully, Nissan is introducing the concept of Color Studio into dealer showrooms. Two limited production JUKE models by Color Studio are arriving – the Black Stinger Edition and Yellow Stinger Edition. The JUKE SV grade offers these Stinger Edition Packages, available from January 2016.

Both the models are designed with a yellow interior along with the JUKE’s signature center console that is painted. The two JUKE Stinger Editions by Color Studio The Yellow Stinger Edition by Color Studio has interesting black painted areas like outside mirrors, rear spoiler, door handles and 17 inch aluminium alloy wheels.

Its yellow colored elements include the front and rear bumper accents, center console, air vent rings, power window switch plates and steering wheel stitching. There is also a mingling of both colors at some places like black seats with yellow accents and yellow/black cloth door inserts. Similarly, the Black Stinger Edition by Color Studio features yellow on the outside mirrors, rear spoiler, door handles and 17 inch aluminium alloy wheels.

The black colored elements are the front and rear bumper accents, center console, air vent rings, power window switch plates and steering wheel stitching. There is also a mingling of both colors at some places like black seats with yellow accents and yellow/black cloth door inserts.

The M.S.R.P. or the Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price for the Stinger edition option package is $990 USD. The front wheel drive model of the 2016 JUKE SV is $22,300 while the all-wheel drive model has a price tag of $24,150.

There are additional enhancing Color Studio black or yellow accessories for the Stinger Edition like a lower hatch accent, hatch handle finisher, headlight trim rings, side door sille, center wheel caps and floor mats.

As commented by Pierre Loing, VP, Product Planning, Nissan North America, yellow and black are the most popular colors through Color Studio in accessories. Although many car buyers like to customize their JUKE with endless combinations, Nissan thought of packaging the most frequently ordered accessories in yellow and black to be integrated into the two special Stinger Editions.

Since these are limited production Editions, the company expects them to sell fast. Buyers who want to go bold and are on the go can end their search with the Special Stinger JUKE editions. The original collection of eight colors from the JUKE color studio is still available for the 2016 model year.

The buyers can choose from Red, Orange, Yellow, White, Matte Black, Black Purple, Electric Blue and Carbon fibre look and apply these colors in a wide variety of 12 accessories. This gives the customers a wide palette of colors to choose from. The JUKE buyers love to be stylish and so Nissan is giving them the chance to create their own look for the Juke to suit their personality.

The boldly styled Nissan JUKE is a vehicle that is hard to ignore. A true sport cross in a segment of lookalike compact crossovers, JUKE stands out with its unique exterior and interior design. For the 2015 model year Nissan introduced “Color Studio,” a program that allows owners to personalize their vehicles through thousands of combinations of special color accessories – including wheels, spoiler, door handles, mirrors and interior accents. The program has been so successful that Color Studio is now expanding to include the popular Versa Note.

And now, Nissan is bringing the spirit of Color Studio vehicle personalization into dealer showrooms with the arrival of two limited production JUKE models – the Black Stinger Edition by Color Studio and Yellow Stinger Edition by Color Studio. Both feature an exclusive yellow interior, including JUKE’s signature painted center console. The Stinger Edition Packages are offered as options on the JUKE SV grade and will be available beginning in January 2016.

The Yellow Stinger Edition features black-painted outside mirrors, door handles, rear spoiler; black-painted 17-inch aluminum-alloy wheels; yellow-painted front and rear bumper accents; yellow-colored center console, power window switch plates, air vent rings, steering wheel stitching, shift knob accent; black seats with yellow accents and stitching; and black/yellow cloth door trim inserts.

The Black Stinger Edition includes yellow-painted outside mirrors, door handles, rear spoiler; black-painted 17-inch aluminum-alloy wheels; yellow-painted front and rear bumper accents; yellow-colored center console, power window switch plates, air vent rings, steering wheel stitching, shift knob accent; black seats with yellow accents and stitching; and black/yellow cloth door trim inserts.

“While many buyers enjoy the ability to custom configure their JUKE through the seemingly endless combinations of colors and accessories available through Color Studio, we’ve taken two of our most popular colors – yellow and black – and most frequently ordered accessories and packaged them into these two special Stinger Editions,” said Pierre Loing, vice president, Product Planning, Nissan North America, Inc.

The Stinger Edition option package has a Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (M.S.R.P.)* of $990 USD. The 2016 JUKE SV is priced at $22,300 USD for the front-wheel drive model and $24,150 USD for the all-wheel drive model.

To complement the Stinger Edition, there are additional Color Studio black or yellow accessories, including a hatch handle finisher, lower hatch accent, side door sills, headlight trim rings, floor mats and yellow center wheel caps.

“With limited production of the 2016 JUKE Stinger Editions by Color Studio, we expect them to sell quickly,” added Loing. “JUKE buyers are not afraid of standing out and these two Stinger Editions are about as bold as you can go.”

The original JUKE Color Studio palette of colors and custom accessories also continues for the 2016 model year. Once again eight colors are available – Red, Yellow, Orange, White, Matte Black, Electric Blue, Black Purple and Carbon-fiber Look – and a total of 12 accessories, giving owners the option of creating a vehicle that is a unique expression of their style and personality.
