Audi A9 coming in 2017, will be previewed by a new concept at 2014 LA Auto Show

Audi’s A9 flagship sedan seems to be getting closer to reality as the German manufacturer will unveil a concept car at the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show, which will preview the new vehicle. Inside sources confirmed the new concept car for November but also said that the vehicle will also so the new design language that will be used by Audi on its upcoming vehicles.

Riding on the MLB platform as the next-generation A8, the concept car will have a 5 meters length. In addition, it will feature a redesigned singleframe grille, new laser headlamps as well as a new aluminum body structure.

Moreover, the concept car will also showcase new interior developments such as a brand new digital instrument cluster as found on the 2015 Audi TT, but also new connectivity options.

The Audi A9 is expected to join the lineup in 2017 and will take on vehicles such as the Porsche Panamera and the Mercedes-Benz CLS. [source: autocar.co.uk]
