The Lotus Eterne Sedan Concept, which is expected to rival Porsche’s Panamera, will be introduced to the market in spring 2015. Lotus’ new four-door super saloon, unveiled at the 2010 LA Auto Show, promises to offer the ultimate expression of refined style and a new level of elegance. The Lotus Eterne will be priced at GBP120,000 ($189,000).
Group Lotus Chief Executive Officer Dany Bahar says the Lotus Eterne is sensational to look at, and is compact yet spacious.
He adds it’s relatively lightweight and still reassuringly solid and is high-performing yet low-emitting. The Lotus Eterne, which is a true four-seater sports GT, is driven by a 5.0-liter V8 engine delivering up to 620 PS and 720 Nm of torque.
It can run from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.0 seconds and has a top speed of 315 km/h or 192 mph. The Lotus Eterne, with a total weight of 1,800 kg, will be available in rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.
A hybrid model will also be available and this version will use a hybrid gearbox with integrated electric motors.
