Frankfurt Motor Show will open its doors with a big surprise for the Lamborghini fanatics: behold the Gallardo LP 570-4 Super Trofeo Stradale! As expected, the car is based on the successful race car from the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo and will be produced in a limited edition of just 150 units. The first visual impact with the Lamborghini Gallardo LP 570-4 Super Trofeo Stradale shows us a big carbon fiber rear spoiler that can be varied manually in order to let you optimize the car’s performance according to the track or road characteristics.
And this is not the only element taken from the racing world as the new Lambo also features a removable engine hood with quick-release system. Under this hood we find the 5.2-liter V10 engine delivering 570 hp (419 kW) and 540 Nm of torque. Due to the fact that the maximum dry weight of the car is 1340 kg (with 70 kilograms lighter than the standard Gallardo LP 570-4), Lamborghini says that the new Gallardo LP 570-4 Super Trofeo Stradale is able to hit 62 mph or 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds, 124 mph or 200 km/h in 10.4 seconds and has a top speed of 200 mph or 210 km/h. Regarding the design, the new Gallardo Super Trofeo Stradale comes in a brand new “Rosso Mars” finish, which symbolizes Italy’s traditional racing red, as established at the beginning of last century in motor racing.
For those who don’t know, the dark green stood for Great Britain, blue was for France, white (and silver later on) represented Germany, white and blu stripes for USA, while red was the color of all race cars from Italy. Moreover, the exterior offers matte black finish on the large rear spoiler, the engine hood and the front air intakes, while the design is completed by the forged wheels painted in high-gloss black. Still, if you don’t like the red color, you can choose the “Grigio Telesto” or “Bianco Monocerus” with the roof available in gloss black as an option. Inside, the car features the same black and red colors, while the materials used are Alcantara and carbon fiber.
