Lamborghini is celebrating its tenth anniversary in Singapore by releasing a special and very limited edition of Gallardo vehicles. These Gallardos, which have a limited run of only ten units worldwide, are different from the regular Raging Bulls due to the red stripes on the sides and a Merlion logo that's labeled on the exterior of each car. The Gallardos are available in two colors only (black and white). A report from sgcarmart.com states that these cars were specially commissioned, for the first time, by Lamborghini factory exclusively for the Singapore market.
Talks were started by Mr Melvin Goh, Managing Director of Lamborghini Singapore, with the Lamborghini factory as early as July 2010 to make sure that the cars can be specially built for Singapore. He revealed that it took nearly three months to finalize the concept.
In addition, the Italian supercar manufacturer is marking this milestone with the start of the company’s “Lamborghini Singapore 10th Anniversary Charity Fund” program. So far, this fundraiser has raised a total of S$200,000 ($156,000) from the sales of ten special limited edition Lamborghini cars. All proceeds go to The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund (SPMF) that seeks to improve the lives of less fortunate students in Singapore. [via sgcarmart]
