Land Rover presents new shock-resistant S1 mobile phone

To match its Land Rover off-roader, the British brand has joined forces with Sonim Technologies to come up with a Land Rover-branded S1 mobile phone that is equally robust and rugged as the vehicle itself. Land Rover claims that it is the first commercial GSM mobile phone to have earned the IP-67 rating. The S1 handset is totally resist dust, dirt, drops and shocks.
The S1 comes in a simple design although special features include the ability to be totally waterproof in one meter of water for a period of 30 minutes, can withstand up to 400kgs of pressure and temperatures ranging from minus 20 to 55 degrees Celsius.
Furthermore, the S1 comes with a 2 Mega-Pixel waterproof camera equipped with an integrated flash, torch light, integrated GPS system, FM radio, 2GB memory slot, J2ME Java for mobile, WAP browsing via integrated Opera Mini WAP browser and Bluetooth. What is more, is that the Land Rover S1 by Sonim comes with a three-year unconditional warranty. Pricing for the mobile handset is £299.99 and will be available from Go Mobile stores in the UK.
