Last Pontiac rolls off the production line

Pontiac Logo

The last US market Pontiac rolled off the assembly line without much fanfare. At the Lake Orion, Michigan plant, a white G6 sedan slowly made its way down the assembly and was punctuated not with speeches or banners but with the quiet clicking of cell phone cameras by a few employees. The G6 will be sold as a fleet vehicle instead of being placed in a museum or any other sentimental gesture. Technically, this won't be the final Pontiac to be produced. In December, the last of the Korean-built G3 Wave will be roll out.
