Leaked: 2010 Vw Golf R

Announced for this year‚ Frankfurt Motor Show, The 2010 Volkswagen Golf R made its debut today, prior to the official unveiling. Based on the Scirocco R, the new car comes with a 2.0-liter turbo engine capable to deliver 270 hp (195 kW) and a maximum torque of 350 Nm. With these numbers the sprint from 0 to 100 km/h will be made in about 5.7 seconds with the 6-speed manual gearbox and 5.5 seconds with the DSG gearbox while the top speed will be limited to 250 km/g (155 mph). Also, the QWD system of the car guarantees that this power is delivered without problems on the road. Regarding the design, the new car features a new front grille, new daytime running LEDs, side sills and a dual-pipe central exhaust system. More details to be revealed! Photo gallery after the jump!
