2013 Audi A3

Images of the Audi A3 can be viewed at a Russian Web site before the model’s scheduled unveiling at the Geneva Motor Show in March. Eastern Europe seems to be on a roll as a Polish Facebook page has recently leaked images of the Volvo V40. And in Latvia, Dartz’s Prombron Black Dragon was announced. Images of the Audi A3 indicate that this model is a typical A3 but still very nouveau. It comes with a more trapezoidal grille from the latest bigger example of the line and its taillights are similar to those found on the A6. The Russian Web site said that this FWD three-door is offered with either a 1.6-liter diesel or any of the turbocharged direct-injection gasoline engines that make either 122 hp or 180 hp. Customers could also choose from transmission types that include a dual-clutch, seven-speed S-Tronic or a six-speed manual. Audi is expected to soon release a four-door sedan and five-door hatch. The Web site also claims that Audi will offer a Quattro system for the A3. There will also be a hybrid model and one that uses up compressed natural gas. Of course, it can’t be expected that every variant of the premium C-segment machine will be offered in the U.S.
