These intriguing images seem to be those of a possible exterior design for the next Colorado pickup as the small pickup truck is observed to have the characteristic Chevrolet nose. The regular cab truck shown in these images is bare of details but it seems to have the foundation for a new offering in the US small truck scene. Since the patent filings list the vehicle's residency as Brazil, it may be that the vehicle won't go on sale in North America.
But then again, this isn't surprising since GM once designated its Brazilian engineering staff as the lead design team for small trucks.
Last May, it was reported that General Motors is designing a new small truck that would truly be compact, instead of what's currently offered in the form of the midsize Chevy Colorado and GMC Canyon. If the small truck venture prospers, the unnamed Chevrolet would be nearer in size to the old S-10 and GMC Sonoma combo.
