Lexus unveiled the IS F CCS-R racer and announced that the car will show up on July 8th at the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. The first visual impact with the car shows an orange mica exterior paint, carbon fiber hood, door handles, front fender, front spoiler, front canard, rear spoiler and ventilator, polycarbonate windows and lightweight door. The design is completed by the 18-inch wheels wrapped in Yokohama Advan Neova A050 tires. The interior features a carbon fiber dashboard, center console, door and interior trim, a Hans compatible full bucket driver’s seat, lightened interior (delete power windows, door locks, rear seats, roof lining, etc.), six-point seat belt, small-diameter steering wheel with paddle shifters.Thanks to the materials used, the car has a total weight of 3,087 lbs (1,400 kg) which is 693 lbs (314 kg) less than the standard model. The heart of the car is a 5.0-liter V8 engine delivering 416 hp @6,600 rpm and 371 lb.-ft.@5,200 rpm.
