The range-topping IS-F of Lexus is undergoing a transformation. There are talks coming out of Japan that suggest the carmaker is planning a lighter, more concentrated variant of its Bmw M3 rival, dubbed the IS-F Evolution.

The car is most likely going to be introduced at the Tokyo Motor Show this coming October, and become available in the summer of 2010. The saloon is said to weigh 100kg less in contrast to the standard version, a result of wide-ranging utilization of carbon fiber in the body panels and interior of the car. Its 411bhp 5.0-liter V8 is probably going to take advantage of a mild boost in potency and at the same time its fade-free carbon ceramic brakes will be providing high performance stopping power. There will only be a global production limit of 500 cars!
