Lexus offers 2011 IS F sports saloon with cleaner Euro 5 engine

Lexus apparently has no intention to make drastic changes to an effective formula. Lexus designed the new 2011 IS F sports saloon to have very minimal differences from its predecessor.
The main change is that the 417bhp 5.0-litre V8 engine has been brought in line with Euro 5 emissions standards. What’s remarkable is that Lexus achieved this task without affecting its performance. The IS F, which features an eight-speed Sport Direct Shift (SPDS) automatic transmission, is still able to accelerate from zero to 62mph in 4.8 seconds and it has maintained its 168mph (electronically limited) top speed.
Furthermore, CO2 emissions and fuel consumption are unchanged. The car's handling and stability were improved with the addition of a limited slip differential. In the latest group of engineering adjustments, the front and rear coil springs and shock absorbers have been tweaked to enhance ride comfort. The rear suspension geometry was also modified to achieve greater stability under higher loads when accelerating, braking and cornering.
As a result, the car boasts all-round advances in damping control, cornering stability and steering response. The IS F's high intensity discharge (HID) headlights are coupled with new LED daytime running lights, designed to portray Lexus's signature arrowhead styling motif. The instrument binnacle in the cabin has been redesigned, putting the tachometer and gear shift indicator in the center of the display. Lexus also added new dark silver carbon fiber-style trim details. The 2011 IS F, which is priced at £57,105, is now on sale.
