If you miss the old Lexus SC 430 then we have some good news for you: the Japanese manufacturer will add a new coupe based on the current GS in 2013. Dubbed Lexus GS Coupe, the new model will arrive as a 2014 model year and will be a successor to the SC 430 which was discontinued back in 2010. According to InsideLine, the Lexus officials said that the company needs a high-end coupe in its lineup. As expected, the new vehicle will carry the same grille seen on the 2013 GS, RX and ES. Thanks to its dimensions, the new rear-wheel-drive coupe will take on cars such as the Audi A5/S5, the Bmw 6-Series but also on the Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe. Regarding the price, $60k could be the base for a GS Coupe. The engines remain a problem, as the GS 350 is powered only by a 3.5-liter V6 with 306 hp and a sprint from 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) in just 5.7 seconds. There are chances to see the coupe as a GS-F model with a unique drivetrain and tuning. [source: InsideLine]
