Lincoln to offer free scheduled maintenance on models bought this summer

Free scheduled maintenance will be given to those who buy or lease a 2010 or 2011 Lincoln vehicle this summer. Ford Motor Co. said that Lincoln's US Customer Program ends on Sept. 8. Ford makes this announcement only a couple of weeks after Ford said that it will terminate the Mercury brand and expand Lincoln's product lineup. In a statement, Ken Czubay, Ford's vice president of US marketing, sales and service, said that the company is committed to further grow the Lincoln brand and to continue to offer luxury customers the premium experience they deserve and expect.
He added that this free scheduled-maintenance is only the first step in its plans to improve Lincoln experience even further. The program includes oil changes, tire rotations, vehicle inspections, engine belts and hoses for three years or 45,000 miles. This program covers even those typically not covered by a vehicle warranty such as brake pads and, in some states, wiper blades.
The MKZ hybrid sedan is not included in the free maintenance program. Last June 2, Ford revealed plans to release seven new or significantly refreshed Lincoln vehicles in the next four years. This list is comprised of Lincoln's first C-segment or small car; new Lincoln-exclusive powertrains, including a V-6 engine; and advanced, fuel-efficient transmissions. Ford added that EcoBoost turbocharged direct-injection engines also will be offered in all Lincolns. All Lincoln fans should especially watch out this summer for the hybrid version of the MKZ sedan and a restyled 2011 MKX crossover, which is the first vehicle to be equipped with the MyLincoln Touch driver connect technology. A buttonless instrument panel is the stand-out feature of the MyLincoln Touch interior.
