Los Angeles Auto Show: 2011 Kia Sorento
Kia unveils the 2011 Sorento CUV at the Los Angeles Auto Show. The car will go on sale in early 2010 as model year 2011. The car will be offered in base, LX and EX trim levels, with each of these three coming with 17-inch alloy wheels with 235/65R17 tires and wheel moldings. The LX adds body-color heated outside mirrors with integrated LED turn signal indicators while the EX also brings standard 18-inch alloy wheels, automatic headlamps, fog lamps (optional on LX) and a rear spoiler. Two engines will be available across the range: a 3.5-liter V6 configuration developing 276 horsepower and 248 lb-ft of torque plus a 2.4-liter four-cylinder unit releasing 175 horsepower and 169 lb-ft of torque. Moreover, the engines can be mated to a six-speed automatic transmission with either front- or all-wheel drive.
The 2011 Sorento is available in five- or seven-seat configurations. It has a wide range of safety systems, all trims being equipped with driver and passenger advanced front airbags, front seat-mounted side airbags, side curtain airbags and front active headrests, four-wheel Antilock Brake System (ABS), Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD), Hill Start Assist Control (HAC) and Downhill Brake Control (DBC).

I’m becoming much more fascinated by Kia every week, their innovative design that is soon to hit across their entire lineup just rocks. The forte looks excellent, this looks great, that cadenza, all of them look great. AND, they’re doing this at a lower cost than other car manufacturers.
