As you may know already, Lotus is not actually a profitable company after Dany Bahar left the company, but things are about to change for the British firm. According to Autocar, Lotus might build the new Renault Alpine and the Infiniti Emerg-e supercar. Still, Infiniti has to confirm this but what we do know so far is that the Lotus Evora 414E Concept is actually based on the Emerg-e. Infiniti’s design boss Shiro Nakamura told the reporters that the new car could be built in Britain and this would make perfect sense as the concept has mostly been developed in the UK. Regarding the new Renault Alpine, Renault marketing boss Steve Norman said that the project is very big and needs more than the Renault-Nissan Alliance on its own. This means that both models could use the Evora platform.
