Lotus Evora is the 2009 Best Driver’s Car

Autocar's annual Britain's Best Driver's Car comparison for 2009 was won by the Lotus Evora. Coming in second is Aston Martin's V12 Vantage, with the new Porsche 911 GT3 coming in third and the Nissan GT-R (last year's winner) in fourth overall. Lotus beat 10 performance cars that were launched within the past 12 months. Lotus won after the Autocar judges evaluated the car after three days of driving on roads and at Goodwood Motor Circuit in Sussex. An impressive record of 9 out of 10 judges placed the Evora first as their favorite. "The best handling car here," according to Autocar Editor Chas Hallett said. Editor-in-Chief Steve Cropley called it a "totally brilliant Handling Day car; stable, adjustable, quick, forgiving, flattering."
