Production of the Lotus-made Evora will be ramped up and is expected to reach its goal of 2,000 cars a year within the next few months. First deliveries are set to start before September. According to Autocar, a company spokesman has confirmed that several hundred deposits have been received worldwide for the Evora. The Launch Editions, the first 450 cars, will be fitted
with a reverse camera, bi-xenon headlights, and a high-spec sound system. Dealers across Europe are anticipating the arrival of the demonstrators.
Standard 276bhp Evoras will be the first off the line. Plans to extend the range include the convertible version, which is expected to be out within three years, and a top-spec model with 350bhp on tap. Motorsport-based versions to the Evora, similar to the Exiges line, are also in the works.
