Magna will have a complete firewall with Opel

Because of Magna's impending takeover of Opel, several carmakers have voiced their concerns about the implications of the takeover since they are using Magna International as the supplier of their car parts. In response, and to allay their fears, the Canadian company says it will put in place a complete firewall that will separate its car parts business from it auto-making venture. However, details have not been made available with regards to how this separation will actually be achieved. The matter is on the table right now. The said takeover has not yet been formally completed and Opel is still at risk of collapse until it is finalized. [via autocar]
