Former CEO Martin Eberhard, on August 7, voluntarily requested that the lawsuit he brought against Tesla Motors and its chairman be dismissed, according to his lawyer Yosef Peretz. On May 26, Eberhard filed the suit against Tesla chairman and CEO Elon Musk and Tesla Motors, claiming that he had been defamed by Musk, he was owed wages, and that Musk had taken credit for being the founder of the company when in fact, Eberhard was. The complaint also stated that he received a damaged Tesla Roadster. Peretz said that details of the dismissal will be revealed later in September. Tesla declined to comment on the dismissal.
