The Maserati GranCabrio Fendi will be unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September 2011. Designed by Silvia Venturini Fendi, this vehicle was built at the Maserati headquarters in Modena, with exclusive and bespoke materials. It was born from the combination of two iconic brands in Italy, which share common values like tradition and craftsmanship. The three-layered body color dubbed as Grigio Fiamma Fendi is a special dark grey with a shimmering golden finish on the surface.
The wood trim Pergamena Fendi goes across the width of the dashboard, on the top of the gear lever and on the doors, all in the iconic FENDI yellow, like the brake callipers and the embroidered yellow trident on the headrests. Another feature that adds a stronger yet elegant character is FENDI’s unmistakable double F-logo, stitched on the seat, that also appears in the centre of the 20-inch Trident design alloy wheels as well as the FENDI logo on the rocker panel. Cuoio Romano, which is the Fendi’s most precious leather in the Selleria line, has been used for these details as the instrument cluster cover for the profiles of the floor mats and for the gear lever.
It is also featured in the Limited Edition Travel Set of luggage and accessories. The Maserati GranCabrio Fendi symbolizes a perfect union between the art of a handmade product and the ultimate technology and research of its 4.7-litre V8 engine with automatic transmission that brings out to life a roar that is one of a kind and is music to the ears of vehicle connoisseurs. Sealing this marriage is Silvia Venturini Fendi’s specially crafted logo. A silver oval plaque with the Maserati trident engraving, Fendi logo and the 5-digit series number is found on both sides of the black cloth folding roof, in front of the passenger seat and on the dashboard. A special black car cover with a ton-sur-ton double F logo dresses the GranCabrio.
