Maserati has launched the GranTurismo Sport at the exclusive Hurlingham Club in London. For its newest product, Maserati went all out and prepared an amazing show. The GranTurismo Sport was displayed together with the special edition Bulgari Octo Maserati watch. Maserati’s latest coupé – the new GranTurismo Sport – provides an elevated performance and some restyling that makes it elegant and sportier. It is powered by a 4.7 litre V8 engine, which produces 460 hp and 520 Nm of torque, enabling the vehicle to accelerate from zero to 62 mph in 4.7 seconds (while it’s 4.8 seconds for the MC Shift Auto version). There are two versions available.
The first is the MC Shift that features a 6 speed manual robotised gearbox with a transaxle layout while the other one is the MC Shift Auto, which comes with a 6-speed automatic gearbox by ZF. The new model was introduced by Peter Denton, Head of Sales for Maserati GB. He presented the GranTurismo MC Shift in white (Bianco Eldorado) and the MC Shift Auto in the new Blu Sofisticato colour.
The special edition Bulgari Maserati Octo watch was received equally well. Over 350 guests attended this event, which include supermodel and Maserati racing driver Jodie Kidd, who was wearing a Fendi gold mini-dress and some stunning Bulgari jewels and Giovanni Soldini, the most respected sailor in Italy and skipper of the Maserati VOR 70. Iconic racing driver Sir Stirling Moss and Tottenham Hotspur’s Italian goalkeeper Carlo Cudicini were also at the event. The Maserati GranTurismo Sport MC Shift Auto is priced from £90,750 (on the road) while the GranTurismo Sport MC Shift has a price tag of £94,080 (on the road).
