Mazda2 headed to the U.S

2010 Mazda2A subcompact Mazda2 is headed to the U.S! The announcement was made very recently after a meeting attended by Mazda’s top dealers. Mazda CEO, Jim O’Sullivan, calls the car “Zoom-Zoom” since it will provide high value, is stylish, and fun to drive.

The car shares a platform with the 2011 Ford Fiesta. It joins the already crowded b-segment composed of the Honda Fit, Nissan Versa and Chevy Aveo. The Mazda 2 is expected to go on sale in late 2010 along with the Canada launch. The Mazda 2 has impressed many but if you want to see it for yourself, be at the 2009 Los Angeles Auto Show this December. Photo gallery after the jump!
