Mazda3 and Mazda5 Venture editions make their debut in the UK

2012 Mazda3 Venture

Mazda has presented a new trim grade – the sportier ‘Venture Edition’ specification for its Mazda 3 and seven-seat Mazda 5 models. This is built on Mazda’s current TS2 specification and comes with added side skirts, a rear spoiler, tinted windows, front fog lights and a ‘sports’ grille. It also has gun metal alloys, which are 17 inches in diameter on the 3 and 16 inches on 5 models. The Venture Edition cars’ interior gets sat-nav, Bluetooth, air conditioning and cruise control. Mazda 3 versions will also feature heated sports seats, while the 5 gets a Piano Black centre console. The two engine versions are available with the Mazda 3 Venture Edition. These are the 104bhp 1.6-litre petrol, which starts from £17,495; and the 114bhp 1.6-litre diesel unit, which has a starting price of £18,995. The engines that are available under the Mazda 5 Venture Edition line-up are the 148bhp 2.0-litre petrol unit, which has a starting price of £19,995; and 114bhp 1.6-litre oil burner, which costs at least £21,290. The Mazda 3 with the Venture Edition spec costs £500 higher than the standard TS2 models while the Mazda 5 with this trim costs £630 more.
