Mazda6 Facelift unveiled ahead of Geneva Motor Show

Mazda6 Facelift

Mazda revealed today the revised version of its 6 saloon and estate models (a.k.a. Atenza in Japan), ahead of the Geneva Motor Show, which will take place in March. The new vehicle comes with subtle styling changes adopting the new Mazda family face such as new front and rear lights as well as a new five-point grille. Also, the manufacturer added two new colors, Clear Water Blue Metallic and Midnight Bronze Mica, which expresses a premium identity.

According to Mazda, the 17-inch and 18-inch aluminum wheels have new designs and add a plus of style to the vehicle. Inside, the center panel stack has a smooth, glossy, piano-black finish while chrome plating adorns the climate control and audio dials. Under the hood we have a new 2.0-litre petrol engine which exceeds Japan's 2010 fuel economy standard plus 15%.

Other engines include updated versions of the 1.8-litre and 2.5-litre units. There is available also a 2.2-litre diesel engine, but official data regarding this engine will be revealed later, at the Geneva Motor Show. The manufacturer will also reveal its new 2011 Mazda5 at the same show!
