McLaren opens its first showrooms in Germany

McLaren Germany Showroom

McLaren is opening four dealerships in Germany. McLaren Düsseldorf and McLaren Hamburg have recently opened to coincide with the 2011 Formula 1™ German Grand Prix that takes place at the Nürburgring this coming weekend. McLaren aims to offer only the best customer sales and service for its range, starting with the new MP4-12C high-performance sports car.

Each showroom will display a piece of McLaren’s racing history. An actual McLaren race car will welcome all visitors. Those who will go to the Düsseldorf showroom will see the MP4/5 that was driven by Alain Prost to a world championship title in 1989. Hamburg’s showroom will display the MP4/6, which was driven by Ayrton Senna when he won his third and last championship title in 1991.

The Frankfurt and Munich dealerships will open in autumn later this year. There are videos available that show an edited and b-roll version of the showroom opening events. These also include sound bites from Andrew Skey, McLaren Automotive Sales Manager for Germany, and Jens Nothelle, McLaren Düsseldorf Brand Manager.
