Mercedes-Benz announces the E-Class Estate for Frankfurt

In response to huge demand, Daimler announced that the 2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Estate will be launched in the fall, including two new four-cylinder engines for the line-up. Expect the 2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Estate to be launched at the IAA in September. The car's engine options will probably include most or all the units present in the sedan and coupe line-ups. Daimler also announced the Mercedes-Benz E200 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY and the Mercedes E200 CGI BlueEFFICIENCY. The Mercedes-Benz E200 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY is powered by a 100 kW/136 hp engine that needs 5.2 liters of diesel per 100 kilometers. The Mercedes-Benz E200 CGI BlueEFFICIENCY is powered by a 135 kW/184 hp engine that requires 7.2 liters of gasoline to go the same 100 km distance. Since its launch, the new Mercedes-Benz E-Class has become the market leader in its segment with the delivery of more than 40,000 units.
