Mercedes-Benz CLS production comes to an end

It will be replaced by the second generation type C218 in the Autumn after its debut at the Paris Motor Show this September.
The last Mercedes-Benz CLS that rolled out was a black CLS550 with an AMG styling pack that‚ meant for a US customer. The first CLS was launched as a concept in 2003 at the Frankfurt motor show. It later went into production in 2004 and was offered with a range of V6 and V8 petrol engines as well as a V6 turbodiesel. In the six years that the CLS had been in production, Mercedes was able to sell over 170,000 units worldwide.
