Mercedes-Benz launches ‘Fixed Price Repairs’ programs

Daimler launched the "Fixed Price Repairs" programs in the UK that allow for fixed price replacement parts and fitting service for most of its range in the country. In a release, Angela Shepherd, Mercedes-Benz UK customer service director, said that from the outset of the enquiry, Daimler wants to show customers how competitively priced its standard repairs are. She said that Daimler also wants to dispel the misconception that these core items cost more. With fixed pricing comes the reassurance on pricing as well as letting customers realize the benefits of getting the expertise of a Mercedes-Benz Official Workshop
The program currently covers the A-Class, B-Class, C-Class, CLC-Class and E-Class, regardless of the model year version. Next year, the program will extend to other models. Pricing will depend on the model range. For example, a replacement rear wiper blade for the A-Class is priced at GBP14 regardless of the model year and the front brake pads for a C-Klasse costs GBP100, VAT, parts and labor included. Daimler says that only in its Official Workshop are owners guaranteed that their cars will be looked after using the latest diagnostic technology and genuine parts, by technicians trained and regularly audited to Mercedes-Benz standards. Mercedes-Benz Official Workshops also offer complimentary services, such as service measure updates, that are probably not available anywhere else.
