As it was announced earlier the German company Mercedes-Benz is working on the replacement of the popular 300SL and should be available by 2010. The name of the replacement was revealed today as the SLS AMG. It will be first introduced on the IAA Frankfurt Motor Show this coming autumn. The 2010 version of the "Gullwing" will come with the phenomenal V8 that can produce 571 hp. It competitors are the Porsche 911 Turbo and Audi R8 V10. It is not the direct descendant of the SLR and there is a likelihood of a convertible following soon after.
