Aftermarket developer Vath has released the V63S package that is based on the Mercedes SLS AMG. Vath made modifications on the vehicle’s interior and exterior, as well as its technical aspect. The naturally aspirated 6.2-liter V8 unit got a custom exhaust system that makes use of valves to control the sound. It also gets an ECU remap. The unit is now capable of developing 615 hp and 680 Nm (502 lb.ft.) of torque. This is a marked improvement over stock figures of 571hp and 650 Nm / 480 lb.ft. of torque.
The car is able to sprint from zero to 62 mph in 3.6 seconds (from the stock car’s 3.8 seconds) and can get to a top speed of 205 mph/ 330 km/h while the stock car could only go 197 mph/ 317 km/h. Vath also upgraded its brakes and road connection. Its brakes use slotted rotors and new pads.
It also now has a lowering suspension, which lowers the SLS AMG by 25 mm. It comes with a set of three-piece forge 20-inch rims that are covered by high-performance tires (265/30: front and 325/25: rear). The vehicle is fitted with a carbon fiber aerodynamic package that consists of a front bumper lip spoiler, fresh side skirts, and a rear wing. The interior got a sports steering wheel that has a leather finish, carbon and wood trimming. Its new speedometer can go as high as 248 mph (400 km/h). This hot hatch is available with a price tag of EUR32,670.
