Mercedes GP’s Schumacher is F1’s best overtaker in 2011

Michael Schumacher of Mercedes GP overtook his Formula 1 competitors 116 times throughout the 2011 season. This makes him as F1 top overtaker, with Sebastien Buemi of Scuderia Toro Rosso at close second with 114 overtakes. Schumacher’s data could be attributed to the fact that his average qualifying position is 10.32 and had to overtake a lot to rank up on the finish. He ended the season at eighth place, an improvement from ninth place in the 2010 season. Teammate Nico Rosberg took seventh place for this F1 season. [source: Autosport]
