Mercedes-Benz has launched a new App, MyClaims UK, to help ease and expedite the process of submitting a Mercedes-Benz Motor Insurance claim. The carmaker developed MyClaims UK to allow customers to report an accident, theft or damage to their vehicle via their iPhone. The App guides customer how to proceed with their claims and help them gather information needed to get a submission started. The MyClaims UK App utilizes iPhone technology to take pictures at the scene of an accident, GPS to determine the exact location, and contact the emergency services or friends and family if needed. The Mercedes-Benz MyClaims UK App can also be used to submit a claim if the vehicle has been stolen, or has been damaged as a result of fire, flood or vandalism.
What the customer needs to do is to enter as many details as possible at the time of the incident and then submit the claim via the App that goes directly to Aviva Insurance Limited, who is the underwriter of the Mercedes-Benz Motor Insurance policies. The customer will be then contacted by a representative to have the claim processed.
Likewise, a customer with a Mercedes-Benz Motor Insurance policy could use the MyClaims UK App, He just needs to enter a few details and policy information to jumpstart the use of the App. Scott Blyth, Managing Director of Mercedes-Benz Insurance, expressed pleasure in the launch of the MyClaims UK App, saying it would make the claims process more efficient.
