Mindset E-Motion EV to enter production

Sprint Avert AG, the parent company of Mindset AG announced a capital increase of 166 million swiss francs (approx. $154 millions) in order to start producing the E-Motion extended range electric vehicle.
The manufacturer plans to build 10,000 units per year and if everything goes according to plans we will see the new vehicle rolling out of the production line by the end of this year. For those folks who don’t know, the E-Motion features a 70 kW electric motor powered by a lithium-ion battery pack and capable to deliver 220 Nm of torque but also a 17.5 kW internal combustion engine. The electric vehicle can be driven in all-electric mode for just 100 km but using the range extender the car shows an impressive range of 800 km. The top speed achieved is limited to 140 km/h while the sprint from zero to 100 km/h is made in just 7 seconds! Photo gallery after the jump!
