According to the latest reports from Autocar, it appears that MINI is considering a sporty coupe version of the Countryman five-door crossover, in order to take on Land Rover’s new Range Rover Evoque. A Countryman Coupe Concept is already on the drawing board at the company’s design studio in Munich. Apparently, this concept is being investigated by MINI due to the fact that the Bmw X6 was an immense success and proved that people do have a taste for cars with an unusual off-road coupe format. MINI is also considering making the car cheaper than the Range Rover Evoque, but with better performance as well as with a more city-friendly package. The upcoming vehicle could also be perfect for an upcoming version of the WRC MINI. More details to be revealed! [via autocar]
