Mitsubishi Concept PX-MiEV revealed ahead of Tokyo Motor Show

This is the brand new Mitsubishi Concept PX-MiEV, a new car which will be showcased at this year‚ Tokyo Motor Show. The new concept carries the Mitsubishi Plug-in Hybrid System which promises to significantly extend the frequency a hybrid vehicle is driven in EV mode and return a fuel economy of around 2 liters for 100 km. Besides the hybrid system the concept car also brings Mitsubishi's all-new S-AWC (Super All Wheel Control), that utilises E-AYC (Electric-powered Active Yaw Control) which transfers torque to the rear left and right wheels as well as new features such as a cosy-interior but also many of the latest safety technologies. Regarding the design, the new vehicle features an exterior design suitable for a next-generation crossover and includes LED headlamps and rear lamps, a newly-developed metal colour and a new road wheel design that improves brake cooling and aerodynamic performance. According to the manufacturer, the interior was designed to give an image of an airplane cockpit and promises to improve the driver's concentration.
