Mitsubishi announced today that the European customers will be able to purchase the iMiEV electric car for less than 30,000 euros ($38,000). Though, the price will differ according to country and will be set between 33,000 euros and 35,000 euro (batteries included). But, with some help from the government, the final cost of the cars will be under 30,000 euros in the majority of countries. Countries like France and U.K. already announced that will offer buyers subsidies to purchase electric cars. The European debut of the car will be made in October, at the 2010 Paris Motor Show. Unlike the Japanese model, the European version will include electronic stability control, side airbags and curtain airbags as standard equipment, as well as an improved interior comfort. For those who don’t know, the iMiEV has a total range of 150 km on a single charge, has a total output of 49kW, equivalent to 67 hp, and has a top speed of 130 km/h.
