Mitsubishi’s 2013 model year Lancer SE AWC will be getting minor revisions. It will come with a fuel-efficient 2.4-liter, four-cylinder engine that can deliver 168-hp and 167 lb-ft of torque. The SE AWC trim will also be available with a new Thule plug-in roof carrier accommodation that’s highly convenient, a set of new 16-inch five-spoke wheels, and a new Premium Package that’s worth $1,550. Otherwise, Mitsubishi has kept the Lancer lineup’s new model year mostly unchanged. The package includes a power glass sunroof, Rockford Fosgate audio system with SiriusXM satellite radio, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, high-contrast meter with color LCD MID, and soft-touch door trim with a chrome lever.
Those who want a Lancer model that’s more affordable can go for either the 2.0L DE or the 2.0L ES model. The Lancer GT will use the same 2.4-liter installed in the SE AWC model. What performance fans are sure to like is the range-topping Ralliart model that is offered with 2.0-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder, capable of 237-hp and 253 lb-ft of torque.
The Lancer DE has a starting price of $15,995 while the ES model is priced at $17,095. The two models use a five-speed manual transmission. The ES model, which has a continuously variable transmission (CVT), is priced from $17,995 while the SE AWC, which has the 2.4-liter and CVT, has a starting price of $20,295. Retailing at $19,995 is the Lancer GT with a five-speed manual. But for just $1,000 more, the consumer can get a CVT on the GT model. The 2013 Ralliart model has a starting price of $28,095.
