Mopar Underground unveils new Jeep Concepts

The tuning and accessories branch of Chrysler, known as Mopar, has within its workforce a special group dubbed Mopar Underground which came out with impressive ventures one of which is a Dodge Challenger powered by a V10. At present, Mopar Underground came up with quite a few concepts, but this time involving two cars that come from the brand Jeep and turning it into the latest off-road concepts. The first of these concepts is the Jeep Lower Forty which is derived from the platform of the Jeep Wrangler but utilizes enormous tires to provide it a more menacing appearance.
A spokesperson from the company said that Mopar Underground fitted the oversized wheels and tires to a factory, two-door Wrangler Rubicon without utilizing a suspension lift to maintain the center of gravity and at the same time increasing ground clearance. To do this, Mopar Underground created necessary clearance for the tires by trimming large parts of the body and fenders. Then, the crew of Mopar Underground sawed off 3 inches of height from the windshield frame and boosted the rake by at least 10 degrees.
Power under the hood for the car is the well-known 5.7-liter Hemi V8 unit and also comes with a carbon fiber hood and a bespoke exterior paint finish. The Jeep Grand Canyon II, which is the second concept, was created with a total focus on luxury. It is derived from the 2009 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland, where the rear seats have been replaced with a runner floor to assist camping capabilities. Fixed on the cargo rack are a two-man tent and an awning integrated to the cargo rack, with an enhanced suspension system and other off-road elements assisting the car to traverses those camp spots that are too difficult to get to.
